Megyn to Trump: When Did You Actually Become a Republican?
Megyn Kelly asked Donald Trump about some of his views being out of step with Republicans over the years.
She said in 1999, Trump said he was "very pro-choice" and supported partial-birth abortions, along with supporting an assault weapons ban.
Kelly said that in 2004, Trump stated that he identified as a Democrat "in most cases."
"Even in this campaign, your critics say you often sound more like a Democrat than a Republican, calling several of your opponents on this stage things like clowns and puppets. When did you actually become a Republican?" she asked.
Trump said that he's "evolved" on many issues, just like Ronald Reagan did, and that he's "pro-life."
