Authorities in California are asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects who stole a man’s car and then hit him with it.

The Hemet Police Department posted a video on Facebook which shows the moment that one of the suspects hit a 53-year-old man with his own car before fleeing.

Police say that one of the two men got into an argument with the victim. The second man then hit the victim with his own car, abandoned it at the scene and fled in a white Ford Ranger pick-up truck.

Hemet police wrote on Facebook:

It was learned that this incident was a result of an on-going road rage incident in which one of the suspects stole the victim’s car. Based on information gained from the video it appears the male victim was intentionally hit with his own vehicle. The victim’s vehicle was abandoned at the scene after the collision and both suspects fled in the Ford truck described below. The Hemet Police Department is requesting any and all information leading to the identification and detention of the two suspects in this case.

Police say the two suspects are white or light-skinned Hispanic men between the ages of 18 and 25.

The victim is expected to be OK.

WARNING: The footage below contains graphic images.

We are still attempting to identify and locate the suspects from Friday's assault with a deadly weapon case. We are releasing the video of the incident in the hopes that someone might be able to identify the suspects. Viewer discretion is advised as the video contains graphic images.
