A hunter has sparked fury on social media after posting pictures of herself with the corpses of a giraffe, warthog, kudu and impala during a trip to South Africa.

Sabrina Corgatelli, an accountant for Idaho State University, defended herself on the TODAY Show, explaining that her hunt was legal.

"Everybody just thinks we’re cold-hearted killers, and it’s not that. There is a connection with the animal, and just because we hunt them doesn’t mean we don’t have a respect for them," Corgatelli said.

"How can you fault somebody because of their hobbies?"
