You may want to grab some tissues before you watch this Staten Island school chorus sing a song for their cancer-stricken teacher.
The P.S. 22 chorus sang Martina McBride’s “I’m Gonna Love You Through It” for 48-year-old teacher Adriana Lopez, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
The children waved flowers in the air during their powerful performance, which brought the fourth-grade teacher to tears.
“It’s not easy but I will get through it because I have wonderful friends at this school,” Lopez said of her battle with cancer.
The amazing performance even grabbed the attention of McBride, who tweeted:
