An Arizona mom is accused of leaving her 2-year-old daughter in a very hot car while she shopped at Walmart.

Newly released surveillance video shows 20-year-old Mikayla Peer strolling into a Walmart with her brothers. Authorities say that she left her toddler in the car for about 20 minutes while she shopped.

By the time Peer returned to the car, police had already broken a window to free the child after a good Samaritan called 911.

The hottest spot in the car was 117 degrees, and the average temperature in the car was between 111 and 113 degrees, an officer said.

Peer is charged with child neglect and endangerment.
