This Spooked Cat May Be the Reason Your Train Was Delayed Wednesday
A New York scaredy-cat held up more than 80 trains Wednesday after he escaped from his leash and jumped onto the subway tracks.
George the cat was on the way home from the vet with his owner when a train’s noise frightened him, prompting him to break free from his leash.
The MTA delayed or rerouted 83 trains as officers Brian Kenny and Gus Vargas rescued the cat from the Canal Street station.
"I gave him a little scratch on the head," Kenny said. "He looked at us. I picked him up, he reached for both of my shoulders like a baby. He almost hugged me."
