What are the odds of being struck by lightning and winning the lottery?

The answer is one in 2.6 trillion, but a Canadian man recently became that one person.

Peter McCathie, who says he was struck by lightning while on a boating trip when he was 14, has now also won the lotto in Nova Scotia.

McCathie and a co-worker, Diana Miller, just collected their $1 million prize Monday.

What's even more incredible? McCathie's daughter was also struck by lightning a few years ago.

The lucky man owns the store where he bought the ticket, so he gets an additional $10,000 from the Atlantic Lottery Corporation.

McCathie told CTV he plans to take his wife on a second honeymoon with his share of the winnings, while Miller is planning a trip to Cancun, Mexico.
