Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer said on "The Kelly File" tonight that Department of Defense officials calling for Marine recruiters to avoid wearing their uniforms in public areas in the wake of the Chattanooga shooting is absolutely crazy.

Meyer explained that the point of terrorism is to instill fear in people and make them change their way of life.

"What we need to do is give them the opportunity to be able to carry their own firearms," he said, slamming the gun-free zone policy that bans weapons at recruitment centers.

"They tied our hands over in Iraq and Afghanistan with rules of engagement. Are they going to do it over here too?" Meyer asked.
