Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker officially announced this afternoon that he is seeking the Republican presidential nomination.

Walker spoke to Sean Hannity tonight in a wide-ranging interview about why he's running for president and his winning strategy for his campaign.

He said that he has two simple reasons for why he's running.

"They were with me tonight – they’re Matt and Alex – they’re the same reasons Tonette and I decided to run for Governor, and why we decided to run for President," Walker explained. "I want them to grow up in a country even greater than the one we inherited, and I just don’t see that happening under four more years of these same failed policies of President Obama and now Hillary Clinton."

He said he thinks the country can do better and that it's not too late to turn things around.

Walker added that "people are hungry for leadership."
