Candace Cameron Bure and Raven-Symoné clashed on “The View” this week over an Oregon bakery that was fined $135,000 for refusing to bake a cake for a lesbian wedding.

“To me, it's the same exact thing that they did back in the day, saying that black people couldn't do certain things because 'it's my religious belief,’” Symoné said.

But Cameron Bure argued that Symoné was comparing apples to oranges.

“I don’t think this is discrimination at all,” Cameron Bure said. “This is about freedom of association, it’s about constitutional rights, it’s about First Amendment rights. We do have the right to still choose who we associate with.”

Cameron Bure slammed the “unconscionable” amount of money that the bakery was fined for its refusal to make what she speculated was likely a $200 cake.

She added that she wishes the nation and our culture would respect opposing views.
