In his Talking Points Memo tonight, Bill O'Reilly questioned if the federal government will hold San Francisco accountable for the murder of Kate Steinle

O'Reilly said that Americans have not been protected from criminals who are coming to the country illegally. He asserted that Steinle's murder "has outraged the nation."

"The Factor" host said the city of San Francisco needs to be punished, because the sanctuary policies "allowed a Mexican national who had been deported five times ... to be released from jail to walk free."

"San Francisco did this despite ICE asking them to hold the criminal alien," O'Reilly explained. "In the face of that, Mayor Ed Lee and the 11 supervisors apparently are not sorry at all."

O'Reilly said "they are all cowards."

He asserted that the time is now for Americans to "rise up" and demand for the government to do "the right thing."

"We must demand accountability to stop illegal immigration madness," O'Reilly said. "We must confront politicians unwilling to protect us."
