Quarterback De'Andre Johnson, 19, has been charged with battery for the June 24 altercation at a bar.

Video shows that the woman took a swing at Johnson, who then struck her in the face.

The victim suffered bruising near her eye, a swollen left cheek and upper lip, and a cut near the bridge of her nose, the Tallahassee Police Department incident report says.

Johnson’s lawyer Jose Baez claims his client was provoked by the woman. Baez said that the woman shouted “racial epithets” at the quarterback and struck him twice after he accidentally made contact with her at the bar.
