Give Peas a Chance? Obama & Jeb Say 'No' to Weird Guacamole Recipe
President Barack Obama and Jeb Bush won’t be giving peas a chance.
A New York Times “green pea guacamole” recipe has become a bipartisan issue, with both Obama and Bush speaking out against the controversial dish.
Melissa Clark, of the New York Times, recommended adding peas to a traditional guacamole recipe.
The peas add intense sweetness and a chunky texture to the dip, making it more substantial on the chip. They also intensify the color of the green avocado — and help the guacamole stay that way.
But Obama and Bush just aren’t buying it.
