Taya Kyle: Legal Battle with Jesse Ventura Has Been 'Extraordinarily Draining'
Taya Kyle, widow of "American Sniper" Chris Kyle, revealed on "The O'Reilly Factor" tonight that her ongoing legal battle with Jesse Ventura has been extraordinarily draining and frustrating.
In 2014, a federal jury in Minnesota awarded Ventura $1.8 million in his defamation lawsuit against Chris Kyle's estate, deciding that Kyle had libeled the former Minnesota governor in his best-selling book. That decision is currently under appeal.
"People think [if] you're in a lawsuit, your lawyers handle it," Taya said. "It's absolutely not the case."
She explained that she has to go through every legal document and deal with every emotional hurdle.
"The trial itself was so emotionally draining and so frustrating," Taya said. "I guess I was supposed to be emotionless, but I don't know how you do that."
