Judge Orders Woman to Walk 30 Miles for Skipping Out on Cab Fare
An Ohio judge who's known for his "creative" sentences is at it again.
After 18-year-old Victoria Bascom didn't pay her cab fare for a 30-mile ride between Cleveland and Painesville, Judge Michael Cicconetti gave her a choice: serve a month in the Lake County Jail or walk 30 miles within 48 hours.
Bascom chose the latter and began walking laps at the Lake County Fairgrounds Friday afternoon.
She was also sentenced to three days of community service, four months probation and ordered to pay United Cab $100 in restitution.
