'Moral & Physical Cowardice': Peters Says Obama Has No Foreign Policy
Fox News strategic analyst Lt. Col. Ralph Peters (Ret.) accused President Obama of displaying "moral and physical cowardice" in the fight against ISIS.
Peters was asked on "America's Newsroom" to respond to Bill O'Reilly's comments from Tuesday, in which the "Factor" host called Obama the "most reluctant" president in U.S. history when it comes to using American military power.
O'Reilly warned that the president's hesitation is "plunging the world into a very dark place."
Peters said what we're seeing right now is "a perfect storm of moral and physical cowardice."
He said O'Reilly was correct on all of his major points, but disputed the notion that the Obama administration has any "foreign policy" at all.
Peters said Obama clings to "academic theories" about the world and refuses to change his views even in the face of "hard evidence."
He said this is playing out with respect to ISIS, Iran and Russia.
"I always tell Army officers who are on their way to Ivy League universities for advanced degrees: when the reality confronting you contradicts what you heard in the classroom, believe the reality. The problem is Obama and company still believe what they heard in the classroom. It's left-wing ideology that is so pathetically destructive and inept, that words fail me," he said.
Peters said Obama is trying to convince Americans that the only strategies against ISIS are the current one or a massive deployment of U.S. ground troops.
