San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has apologized for an insensitive social media post about the devastating floods in Houston, Texas.

“I warned you the #7torms Coming ! ! ! #Houston," the 49ers quarterback posted on social media with a photo of flooding.

Kaepernick later deleted the post and clarified that he didn’t mean any disrespect.

A few hours later, he tweeted a longer statement, apologizing for the “insensitive post” and explaining that he “didn’t fully understand how many people are struggling in Houston.”
