When an Arizona officer serving overseas couldn’t attend his daughter’s kindergarten graduation, his brothers and sisters in blue showed up in his place.

On "Fox and Friends Weekend" today, Anna Kooiman was joined by the young graduate and her mother, Sophia and Natalie Prinkey, along with Det. Steven Berry of the Mesa Police Department.

"We were completely caught off-guard and surprised when all the officers walked in just before the graduation started," Natalie said.

"It's just one of those things, you know, one of our officers, one of our brothers in blue, as you just said, is away from home," Berry explained. "And kindergarten graduation is pretty special. So when Shawn [Prinkey] wasn't able to be there, it just felt like the right thing to do to have a few of us stand in for him."

Natalie revealed that her husband has a big heart and is a wonderful, involved father of three girls. She added that he was very touched by his brothers and sisters attending the graduation in his stead.

"It meant a lot to him that a lot of his friends could be there to support Sophia on her big day. And to be a part of everything and to be there for our family."
