Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee today announced his candidacy for president.

Huckabee remarked that America is more polarized than ever following six years under President Barack Obama.

“We were promised hope, but it was just talk,” Huckabee said. “And now we need the kind of change that really could get America from hope to higher ground.”

Huckabee said that if he’s president, “you will get what you paid for.”

He said veterans would be treated with the dignity they deserve, adding that we owe vets more than just a pat on the back.

“When I am president, our veterans are not going to be left on the streets and in waiting rooms to rot,” he said.

He pledged to conquer – not just contain – jihadism, and he said “hell will freeze over” before Iran gets nuclear weapons.

Plus, he promised, “I will never ever apologize for America, ever.”
