Intense surveillance video shows what happened when a Seattle Sound Transit Link light rail train crashed into a car last week.

The footage, which was taken from the front of the light rail, captures a white car turning left directly in front of the train.

The train slams into the car and force tosses the vehicle several feet down the tracks, knocking over a light pole.

The driver of a car was briefly trapped inside until Seattle firefighters freed him from the wreckage.

He was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. No one on the train was hurt.
