Police have arrested a woman for starting the blaze that critically injured a Fresno, California firefighter.

Fresno Fire Chief Kerri Donis said that Julia Beth Ann Harper “admitted responsibility for starting the fire.”

Harper was arrested by police on a charge of "unlawful starting of a fire that caused great bodily injury," the Fresno Bee reported.

Harrowing video shows the moment when Fresno Fire Department Capt. Pete Dern suddenly feel through the roof over the garage last month.

Firefighters rushed to rescue their fallen comrade and extracted him from the flaming garage within three minutes.

The 25-year veteran suffered second and third-degree burns on 65 to 75 percent of his body.

Dern is being treated at the Leon S. Peters Burn Center at Community Regional Medical Center.

Donis shared that he is in good spirits and is "very committed to getting out of the hospital."
