GOOD NEWS Boy With Prosthetic 'Iron Man' Hand Throws First Pitch at Baseball Game
A 5-year-old Ohio boy threw the ceremonial first pitch at a minor league baseball game while wearing a new 3D-printed prosthetic hand.
Jack Carder was born with only a thumb and no fingers on his right hand, WSYX reported. But thanks to amazing 3D printer technology - and the e-Nable Organization - Jack Carder now has a special "Iron Man" inspired hand.
His mother, Laura Carder, contacted the organization after she saw a video of a boy receiving an arm they created. The group then presented the new hand to Jack at his day care.
Jack was the special guest at the Columbus Clippers game Tuesday, where he had the chance to show off his new addition.
