A video purportedly showing a mass execution of Ethiopians in Libya by the Islamic State was released on Sunday.

Fox News reported that the video shows Islamic State militants shooting and beheading groups of captive Ethiopian Christians.

The Obama administration denounced the brutal attack and, for the first time, identified the victims as Christians.

Greta Van Susteren asked Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) how much longer the world can tolerate these horrifying videos.

McCain replied that the question instead should be how long is the president going to tolerate ISIS.

He explained that the United States shouldn't have walked away from Libya after dictator Muammar Qaddafi was killed in 2011.

"We didn't help them with the arms, we didn't help them build a free society, we didn't help them in any way," McCain stated. "We just walked away...I think [the blood] is on the president's policy. I think that's very clear."

McCain said that the president is "leading from behind [and] that he doesn't believe America's an exceptional nation..."

He also said that "one of the darkest chapters in our history" is Obama failing to give Ukrainians weapons to defend themselves against Russia.

"I am so upset. This world is on fire," he remarked.
