Dramatic dash cam video shows the moment a South Carolina police officer stops a woman from jumping off a bridge.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Officer released the footage, which shows Deputy Michael Hubbard responding to a report of a woman sitting on an overpass on I-26.

When Hubbard arrived and asked her what she was doing, she responded, "Just looking for my way out and being at peace," according to the incident report.

The video shows Hubbard approach the woman, grab her under both arms and pull her away from the ledge.

"Give me your hands, you're not going out like this today. Stop fighting," the officer said to the woman, according to the incident report.

The woman was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Hubbard, meanwhile, said he was just doing his job.

Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright said he's proud of Hubbard and his actions. Wright said an officer's job is to help people who need help.

Wright said he's proud of the men and women he has the pleasure to serve with and asked for everyone to pray for all law enforcement to be safe and be the light we need in this world.
