2016 presidential hopeful Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) is making news by predicting that a secret scandal will soon wreck Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.

At the Susan B. Anthony List Strategy Summit on Thursday, Paul said, "There's going to be stuff coming out about the Clinton Foundation and their donations from different companies that get special approval by the secretary of state."

"It's coming out in the next couple weeks. Are we going to hear any questions from the media? Or will it be a lovefest to Hillary Clinton?"

On "The Kelly File," Alan Colmes said that Paul is simply engaging in "idle speculation."

"Let's show what you got," Colmes said. "Rather than say, 'There's going to be a scandal,' getting people all revved up, putting the word 'scandal' next to Clinton."

He suggested that Paul likely would prefer not to run against Clinton in the election, so perhaps he's trying to get her out of the race.

Megyn suggested that if Republicans really want to disqualify Clinton from the race, then they should try and disqualify her with the Democrats.

"Because she's by far and away the leader of that pack," Megyn explained. "Is something like this even potentially going to bring her down in her own party?"

Colmes said it might even help Clinton for Republicans to use all their ammo against her now, early in the campaign process.
