Dramatic video captured two people being rescued from a fire that tore through a commercial building in downtown Los Angeles Tuesday night.

William La Jeunesse reported that Vivian and Ricardo Molina were trapped inside the building, where they own a guitar business. La Jeunesse said that the couple was blocked by fire on both sides of the building and the floor below them.

They broke a window and threw office supplies outside, hoping that someone would see them trapped inside, La Jeunesse reported. A photographer saw the flames and immediately called 911 around 8 p.m.

Roughly 170 firefighters responded to the dangerous scene and successfully rescued the pair from the sixth floor.

"Right now, I can say they were heaven-sent," Molina said of the firefighters. "In less than three minutes from the 911 call, they were there ... I thought I wasn't going to make it."
