Charles Krauthammer tonight remarked that 2016 contender Rand Paul is “without a doubt the one Republican who'll be running who is the closest to Obama in his view of foreign policy.”

The Kentucky senator is to the left of the president on issues like the NSA, surveillance, drones and the War on Terror, Krauthammer said.

Krauthammer also referenced Paul’s remark that America’s goal should always be peace, not war.

“That’s the dichotomy Obama is always presenting – either peace or war, as if that is the choice. That is not right, our objective is always national security, and sometimes you can get it on the cheap and sometimes you can’t,” Krauthammer said.
