If you missed the TV premiere of "Killing Jesus" last week, then tune in to Fox News Channel this weekend.

Based on the best-selling book by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard, the film re-tells the amazing story by charting the political and historical conflicts that led to The Crucifixion.

Here's when you can watch the three-hour television event this Easter weekend:

Good Friday, April 3 at 8p and 11p ET

Easter Sunday, April 5 at 8p and 11p ET

Keep reading to hear from two of the actors who starred in the film, plus go behind-the-scenes of the making of "Killing Jesus."

Jesus was played by young Muslim actor Haaz Sleiman, who sat down with O'Reilly last week to discuss the once-in-a-lifetime role.

O'Reilly applauded Sleiman for bringing an "anger" to his portrayal of Jesus Christ, which O'Reilly thought could surprise some viewers.

Kelsey Grammer makes an appearance in "Killing Jesus" as King Herod the Great.

O'Reilly noted that the audience will be surprised to see the former "Cheers" and "Frasier" star playing the very evil leader.

"It's fine. I'm an actor. You lend yourself to the role. It doesn't necessarily reflect on you," Grammer said on "The O'Reilly Factor."

Producer Aidan Elliott said the most important thing that filmmakers wanted to capture was authenticity.

He said viewers will be exposed to elements of the story that they've never seen before.
