A rhinoceros wreaked havoc in the town of Hetauda in southern Nepal on Monday, killing one person and injuring at least seven.

The animal charged into the city from an unfenced wildlife preserve approximately 12 miles away and chased people around a downtown market, a bus station and even a hospital.

Forest officers and tamed elephants eventually managed to chase the wild animal back to the forest.

A government administrator said that a 61-year-old woman was gored to death.

The rhino was not hurt in the incident.
