'Be a Role Model, Not a Hate-Filled Agitator': Bolling Slams Azealia Banks
On "Cashin' In" today, Eric Bolling noted that his "Fool of the Week" last Saturday was rising hip hop star Azealia Banks, who declared in a recent Playboy interview that she "hates America" and "hates fat white people."
Bolling pointed out that Banks blamed white privilege and capitalism for everything wrong in America, yet she herself is a multi-millionaire off the system she so virulently trashes.
Banks replied to being named "Fool of the Week" by saying that Bolling is biased because he's white and just can't see that capitalism and white privilege are holding black people back from success.
Bolling said he understands that unemployment and poverty levels are far higher in predominantly black communities than in predominantly white communities. He added that he honestly believes that we should never forget slavery, legal segregation and ongoing stereotyping that leads to racial bias.
"But the free market is color blind," Bolling said. "It doesn't see black or white. The only color it recognizes is green."
He said that African-American entertainers like Banks who make big bucks on divisive race rhetoric are actually a far bigger problem than he.
"Your lyrics are filled with the "n" word, you rap about drugs, sex and talk about race-baiting like it's a badge of honor," Bolling said. "You, Azealia, should be promoting your music success to young African-Americans."
"Teach don't preach. Be a role model, not a hate-filled agitator. Here's a start, repeat after me: Instead of, 'I hate America,' try this, Azealia, 'God bless America.'"
