This stunt wasn’t quite a slam dunk for one former college basketball player.

Lloyd Hickinson appeared to be channeling his inner Blake Griffin when he attempted to dunk over a convertible.

Griffin, an L.A. Clippers player, cleared a car during the 2011 NBA slam dunk contest, but Hickinson wasn’t as successful at the Golden Chihuahua All-Star Game in Mexico. Hickinson attempted to leap over a convertible, but he didn't clear the car, instead tripping over the passenger side door.

Still, that didn’t deter Hickinson. He gave it another try and nailed it on his second attempt, winning the contest.
