Kathie Durst's Brother: 'I Was Finally Vindicated' By Finale of 'The Jinx'
The brother of Kathie Durst was on a “Justice” special last night to sound off on the finale of HBO’s “The Jinx.”
“What the hell did I do? Killed them all, of course,” Robert Durst said while on a hot mic. Durst was arrested Saturday in connection with the 2000 murder of his good friend Susan Berman. Durst’s first wife, Kathleen Durst, has been missing since 1982.
Judge Jeanine Pirro asked Kathie’s brother Jim McCormack, “For the first time, you hear that your sister’s husband admitted he killed your sister. Your reaction?”
“I wasn’t so much shocked as I was finally vindicated for the years and years of pursuing the truth,” McCormack said.
McCormack also sounded off on the news that Durst had reportedly been trying to leave the United States for Cuba so that he could not be extradited back to the U.S.
“It’s kind of like the flight or fight syndrome, he would always fight if he knew he had, you know, a good bank account behind him. This time around, he know he had to flight, it was his only option,” McCormack said.
