It's one of the biggest movies in the country, but could a fake baby cause "American Sniper" to be snubbed at the Academy Awards Sunday?

Some movie experts think that the Clint Eastwood film won't win the Best Picture award because he used a fake baby in the blockbuster film.

In one particular scene (below), Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller are seen nurturing a plastic crying doll, instead of a real baby. The fake baby caused a huge stir on the internet when the film first debuted.

The New York Times explained that the film’s screenwriter, Jason Hall, weighed in on the fake baby issue in a since deleted tweet that read, "Hate to ruin the fun but real baby #1 showed up with a fever. Real baby #2 was no show. (Clint voice) Gimme the doll, kid.”

After speaking to a panel of experts, the Huffington Post made a few predictions about who will be honored on Sunday night.

They wrote that the Best Picture award will probably go to "Boyhood" or "Birdman." Deadline’s Pete Hammond then said he believes the fake baby will "singlehandedly be the reason" that "American Sniper" will not win.
