Report: Surveillance Video From Bus Shows Jenner Hitting 2 Cars
TMZ reported that California police now have surveillance video from an MTA bus that shows Bruce Jenner hitting two cars in a crash that left a woman dead.
Jenner rear-ended a white Lexus on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu on Feb. 7. The 69-year-old female driver was killed when her car careened into oncoming traffic and was struck by a Hummer.
The new video reportedly shows that Jenner then also plowed into the back of a black Prius.
Initially, witnesses at the scene said that the Prius was struck by the Lexus and then Jenner could not stop in time.
In its report, TMZ obtained an animated re-creation of the accident (watch below).
Gretchen Carlson went over the new developments with Fox News legal analysts Jonna Spilbor and Doug Burns, including what the new video could mean in terms of possible charges against Jenner.
Spilbor said even if Jenner was following too closely, it doesn't mean Jenner displayed "gross negligence" in the deadly crash.
"I don't see the nexus here unless he was also speeding, driving erratically, talking on the phone, drunk or on drugs. Something else has to come into play," she said.
Jenner has been cleared of driving drunk. Gretchen asked whether texting while driving could factor into the case.
Burns said that may be the key factor in determining whether police pursue charges. He said it will be easy to determine whether Jenner was texting at the time, but more difficult to match any messages with the exact time of the impact.
