Brian Kilmeade Meets Miss P, Beagle Named Westminster's Best in Show
A beagle is the top dog!
Beating out over 2,700 competitors, Miss P was named Best in Show at the 139th annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show Tuesday in New York.
This morning on "Fox and Friends," Brian Kilmeade met Miss P, her handler, Will Alexander, and Westminster co-host David Frei.
Alexander said that he first noticed that Miss P had star quality when she was just six months old.
"I told her owners that she was going to be a star," Alexander said. "Miss P is from a long line of great winning beagles, including the great Uno ... She's just a wonderful beagle."
Uno, her great-uncle, was the first beagle to win Best in Show at the event, capturing the title in 2008. Miss P is only the second beagle ever to win the top prize.
Frei explained the difference between 4-year-old, 15-inch Miss P and her competition.
"She's an elegant, beautiful little female beagle," Frei said. "She stood there perfectly, moved perfectly."
