Here's the heartwarming story of a marriage proposal 43 years in the making.

Louis Demetriades met Renate Stumpf in Germany in 1959 and they got married. The marriage ended 12 years later, and until two months ago, they had not spoken in 43 years.

Yesterday, Demetriades surprised Stumpf in Fort Smith, Arkansas, at the Walmart where she works for a very special Valentine's Day reunion.

Demetriades greeted Stumpf with a sign that read, "Happy Valentine’s Day! Will you marry me?"

Her first response to the proposal was a shocked, "No," but she then said, "Yes, but not today."

Stumpf said it's the best Valentine's Day of her life.
