Carson: Obama's Crusades Comparison 'Absolutely Irrelevant'
Dr. Ben Carson sounded off on tonight’s “On The Record” about President Barack Obama’s remarks at the National Prayer Breakfast.
Obama has stirred controversy by saying that terrible deeds were committed in the name of Christ during the Crusades, comparing that to today’s ISIS atrocities.
“That is absolutely irrelevant because we’re dealing with an evil in today’s world that is threatening Christians and people who don’t believe like them. And if we allow it to continue to grow, it will be a big tree with lots of branches and roots rather than a bush like it is now,” Carson said.
Carson also weighed in on a possible 2016 run, explaining that he had planned to retire and enjoy life but can’t do that because of what’s happening to the country. He warned that Americans are losing their freedoms and have become constrained by political correctness.
