Reports: Shooting at U. of South Carolina Was Murder-Suicide
A murder-suicide left two people dead this afternoon on the campus of University of South Carolina, according to reports.
Shots were fired at the new school of public health, according to the university's website.
Officials advised students to seek shelter immediately and stay indoors. A campus-wide lockdown went into effect.
After about an hour, the school alert system announced that there was no longer a threat.
One student who was sheltering in a classroom tweeted a picture of a barricaded door.

UPDATE 2:40p ET: New reports indicate the shooting was a murder-suicide. Police said there was never an "active shooter" situation.
No further information on two people involved in murder-suicide, only that they are deceased. Appears to be a "very isolated situation."
