Lt. Col. North on Radical Islam: 'It Doesn't Fit Obama's Narrative'
Lt. Col. Oliver North was on “Hannity” tonight, where he said that President Barack Obama won’t define ISIS as radical Islam “because it doesn’t fit his narrative.”
North said that the king of Jordan is promising retribution against ISIS following the execution of a Jordanian pilot, but he needs America's help. He said that Jordan is overwhelmed with Syrian refugees, plus the internal threat from radical terror groups like the Muslim Brotherhood, ISIS, al-Nusra and Hezbollah.
“Obama’s response has been flaccid at best, and he still can’t define the enemy as radical Islamists,” North said.
North had a series of suggestions for defeating ISIS. He said the U.S. should impose a no-fly zone and pound ISIS command centers in Syria and Iraq. He also called on the nation to provide weapons to the Jordanians and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Plus, he said the U.S. should put special operations on the ground with the peshmerga.
