Watters Takes on Vt. Students Who Charged Him With Bad Ethics
Jesse Watters tonight responded to students in Vermont who charged him with bad journalism ethics.
In a video posted to YouTube, students from Mount Anthony Union High School in Bennington fired back at a Watters’ World segment filmed in their town. The segment, which aired in July, examined whether Vermont is the “most liberal” state in America.
The students criticized Watters for visiting just one town, featuring six sources aged 17-24, and allegedly distorting the truth.
“Do you understand the harm that you intentionally cause when – through snarky interviewing and sly editing – you make decent people look foolish?” one student asked in the video.
Watters responded, “They look foolish on their own.”
He also posed a question to the students.
“Are you denying that Vermont is a liberal state? Two words: Bernie Sanders. One more: socialist. Last one: senator.”
