Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), of the Senate Armed Services Committee, sounded off tonight on the Pentagon’s defense of its decision to release the “Taliban Five” in exchange for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.

“They’re going back to the fight as sure as night follows day,” Graham said of the five freed detainees.

The South Carolina senator blasted Obama for his refusal to refer to radical Islam when discussing ISIS.

“If you don’t understand what these people are trying to do, you can’t defeat them. Clearly he doesn’t understand that [ISIS] is no longer the jay-vee team. He clearly doesn’t understand that part of their charter is to destroy Israel and to come after us,” he said.

Graham has introduced a bill which would ban the transfer of medium and high-risk prisoners out of Guantanamo Bay.
