A pregnant Utah woman driving herself to the hospital pulled over and delivered a healthy baby boy on the side of an interstate highway, police said.

Devi Mariah Ostler went into labor on Saturday and was driving to Brigham City Hospital, about 60 miles north of Salt Lake City, when her water broke.

She called 911 and the dispatcher told her to pull over and then talked her through the birth.

"I'm trying to get over into the other lane. I need to push," Ostler says in the recording. "The baby is coming!"

A policeman and highway patrolman sped to Ostler's location. Less than a minute after their arrival, she gave birth to a 9.9-pound baby boy in her car.

He is Ostler's third child. Both mom and baby are healthy and in good condition at the hospital.
