The "Outnumbered" panel discussed a shocking new study that found 80 percent of 10-year-old girls have dieted and are stressed out because of their body image

Jedediah Bila reported that the study also found 70 percent of kids have been on a diet before the age of 10 and that at least one third of boys and the majority of girls between 6 to 8 years of age want to be thinner.

As a mother, Harris Faulkner weighed in about the results of the study, stating that she has heard her 8-year-old daughter talking about body images among her friends.

"They're talking about this among themselves," Faulkner said. "You can blame media if you want, but it's already a conversation, because they're introspective enough and focused enough on their own bodies."

Melissa Francis added that she has also heard her son discussing his body too.

"I have an 8-year-old son and all of a sudden out of nowhere I noticed him saying fat, and is this fat, you know my tummy, and this and that," Francis said. "And you're like where is this even coming from?"
