Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), of the Senate Armed Services Committee, slammed President Barack Obama’s standing in the Middle East following the resignation of Yemen’s president.

Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi has resigned after failing to reach a deal with the Shiite Houthi rebels.

The South Carolina senator recently traveled to the region, visiting Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Israel, where he said people told him, “It’s better to be America’s enemy than her friend.”

Graham said Obama’s policies overseas are failing. He noted that the administration has called Iran moderate and Yemen a success story.

“President Obama’s basically incompetent when it comes to foreign policy, he’s stubborn and he’s arrogant ‘cause he’s refusing to adjust when the circumstances are screaming out to adjust.”

Graham charged Obama with “trying to run out his time” and pass this issue onto the next president.
