Talk about finding yourself in the doghouse...

A New York man bulldozed his home with everything inside — and reportedly did not bother to let his wife know about the plan!

Diane Andryshak, who owns the Middletown home, found her house in a pile of rubble after her husband, James Rhein, knocked it down, ABC reports.

The couple was doing renovations on the home, but Rhein apparently thought the house was unsalvageable. He tried to get a permit Monday to bulldoze the home, but he couldn’t because it was Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and government buildings were closed.

So Rhein took matters into his own hands, renting an excavator and knocking the home down.

“None of my belongings were taken out,” Andryshak said. “Everything was in the house.”

Rhein was charged with criminal mischief and released on $300 bail.
