More than a dozen people are being treated, and four are seriously wounded after a Palestinian man allegedly went on a stabbing spree on a city bus in Tel Aviv.

Authorities say the 23-year-old suspect stabbed the bus driver, sending the bus swerving. Two police guards who happened to be driving by saw the swerving bus, and pursued the suspect.

The suspect hopped out of the bus and fled. He can be seen on surveillance video above stabbing a woman in the back while running away.

Prison guards chased the suspect before opening fire, shooting him in the leg. He is now in police custody.

Authorities say the suspect, who is from the West Bank, shouldn’t have even been in Tel Aviv at all. They say he entered Israel illegally this morning before making his way to the city.

The suspect was reportedly angry about the war in Gaza.
