O'Reilly on Jihad: 'This Has Been a 14-Year Horror Odyssey'
Fighting terrorism is America's top priority, according to a new Pew poll.
Bill O’Reilly sounded off tonight on the Obama administration’s lack of a strategy to defeat the jihad, warning that things are getting worse overseas.
O’Reilly mentioned how ISIS reportedly executed 13 young boys in Mosul for watching a soccer game, and the terror group apparently threw two men suspected of homosexuality off a building. Additionally, ISIS is threatening two Japanese hostages.
“The Factor” host said that many on the left don’t want Islam linked with terrorism.
“Talking Points believes there is a fundamental misreading of Islam throughout the world,” O’Reilly said.
He explained that some Americans think all Muslims support violence because the Koran justifies it, but he said that’s false, and most Muslims aren’t violent. Still, O’Reilly said there is a strain of Islam that is destructive to the world.
“Irrational violence is plaguing the entire Islamic community,” O’Reilly said.
O’Reilly reiterated that he thinks the Muslim world won’t confront the jihad. He said it’s up to non-believers to defeat the jihad instead.
“The leader of the effort should be President Obama because thousands of Americans have been killed by the jihadists, but the president is not leading, is tentative in the face of Islamic atrocities, does not even want to define them clearly,” he said.
“This has been a 14-year horror odyssey,” O’Reilly said, stressing that the U.S. has spent trillions and lost thousands of military members, yet terrorists continue to reign.
