What can we expect from the "Duck Dynasty" musical that is set to open in Las Vegas?

Willie and Korie Robertson sat down with Steve Doocy this morning to shed some light on the exciting new project.

The production does not include the Robertsons, but is based on the couple's book about their life and their unlikely rise to stardom.

"It's about redemption," said Willie. "It's about all these decisions we had to make in our life and overcoming and ending up being on TV and all that. It's a great story and it's pretty powerful."

Korie said the couple got to participate in the just-completed casting process, adding that the actor who plays Uncle Si "nailed" the role.

She said it was emotional for both of them to relive the early days of their relationship, his proposal and their marriage.

"When we heard the first four songs they played for us, Willie and I cried. We boo-hooed like babies. ... It's the story of the American dream," said Korie.

The "Duck Commander Family Musical" will debut at the Las Vegas Rio hotel and casino next month.

Willie also shared some thoughts about Willie's Duck Diner, which you can now visit if you're ever in West Monroe, Louisiana.

He explained how his signature sandwich - featuring fried bologna - came about.
