Powers to Obama: 'There's Nothing Wrong With Criticizing Radical Islam'
Kirsten Powers called out the Obama administration today for refusing to clearly denounce Islamic terrorism.
Powers, who often defends the president's policies, stated on "Outnumbered" that the president is missing an opportunity to lead the world and actually label the terrorism that took place in Paris for what it is.
"I think he's missing an opportunity, because there's nothing wrong with criticizing radical Islam. That's not a criticism of all Muslims," she said.
She said that she doesn't know why the Obama administration "twists themselves into theological knots" when it comes to the threat posed by jihadists.
"You see Josh Earnest yesterday talking about 'well these people don't really represent Islam,'" Powers stated. "Well is he a theologian? ...These people say that they were acting in the name of Islam. When Christians do bad things, nobody's twisting them around trying to say 'well that's not actually what Christians believe.' There's a diverse number of beliefs. Some Christians do terrible things and most of them don't," Powers said.
