Harrowing video captures an Alabama woman's three-story fall off a zip line.

On New Year's Eve, Tabitha Baker was ringing in 2015 at Holiday Spectacular Park, a seasonal attraction near Dothan, Alabama.

Video shows Baker receiving encouragement from observers to zip line off the nearly 30-foot-high platform.

A few minutes later, she jumps off and almost immediately plummets to the ground, as onlookers scream and gasp.

Doctors say Baker suffered a broken foot, a crushed heel and some back injuries, and it could be several months before she could walk again. But they also say it could have been much worse.

Dothan First reported:

Baker said the harness didn’t feel right and believes it broke. In fact, she claims to have expressed concern to a park employee who assured her it was functioning properly.

However, Holiday Spectacular owner Maxine Chappell disagrees and said safety measures are always in place. A witness, Stephen Cook, said it appeared to him the harness was functioning correctly.

Signs at the zip line attraction states that a waiver must be signed beforehand and, by riding, the person gives up their right to file a lawsuit.
